I have a trip to Vietnam in early January 2017. Do you have any update about Vietnam visa for Swiss then. Is there any information about visa exemption :).
First of all, thank you for leaving us your message.
Please be kindly informed that until then, there is no information about changes in policy for Vietnam visa for Swiss. You – as a Swiss passport holder is still required to obtain a visa for your trip to Vietnam except you directly transfer to Phu Quoc from a foreign country/territory, stay there for no more than 30 days and then leave it for a foreign country/territory outside Vietnam.
As it’s almost January, you are highly recommended to obtain the Vietnam visa now. You may have two ways to do so, namely:
- Getting a visa via Vietnam embassy; OR
- Getting a visa on arrival.
If you travel to Vietnam by air, the latter is highly recommended for you for its simplicity and convenience, as you only need to go online to submit an application form for visa approval letter, get the letter online and then pick up full visa at Vietnam airport upon arrival then. Here is the link to apply for the letter: https://booking.vietnam-visa.com/step1.html.
In case you travel to Vietnam by other ways, the single option for you is to reach the Vietnam embassy to submit application and get the visa. It can be Vietnam embassy in Switzerland or in any country convenient for you.
Should you need any further information, please feel free to let us know.
